Indian Constitution online

I was just surfing around and found out the official latest version of the Constitution of India, owned, maintained and updated by Legislative Department, Ministry of Law and Justice.

It provides Index wise as well as fulltext search facility and the text is available in Hindi & English.

And in case you wana download the ful pdf version you can get it here, again a governmental website so its all official.

So, “We the people of India..” can access the constitution anytime and use it for our reference, with pride.

Youtube adds full length TV shows & Movies

Youtube has introduced a new section, using which now you can watch TV shows & Movies (well some of them) online, and that too legally, and for free.

If you can’t find it on your account go to http://www.youtube.com/shows for TV shows

and http://www.youtube.com/movies for movies

And the list is surprisingly cool as studios like Crackle, CBS, MGM, Lionsgate, Starz have put their stuff on youtube for you

Checkout the alphabetical list and you’ll be surprised too.

Let’s hope this stays for ever and brings in movies and shows from other media houses as well.

Prison Break returns

Well finally after a long long wait of 5 months, Prison Break is going to resume its Season 4, the best season so far, second only to the 1st season.

Season 4 had a wonderful start with the best storyline since the first season, this season saw the introduction of Don Self

the Fox River escapees teamed up under the leadership of the super cool, super brainy Michael, to acuire Scylla (the company’s blackbook) .

Following mindblowing thrill sequences, they succeed in getting to it, with Michael being diagnosed of brain cancer he inherited from her mother.

But in the end they’re betrayed by Self (that was utterly shocking he seemed to be one of the good cops) . And then there was seemingly sloppy work by Self in tryin to sell Scylla and ultimately losing it.

Michael got abducted by the Company and they suddenly turned into the well-wishers and people who are doing the good thing for the world’s future.

Now we have to see what Michael read in the file Lincoln gave to him, and what happens when they face their mom, the person who has Scylla now.

The other people who’ll pay crucial role now are T-bag and very hot and tuff Gretchen Morgan, I really like T-bag’s character. And since the writers know that his character is so popular I am sure there’s a big surprise coming from the evil devil of the show.

Knowing that these are going to be the last 6 episodes of the show, makes them very special, and fans like me can’t wait to watch it.

Predicting the climax of the show would be too hard and too bad, and i hate to do that.

I hope the show has a happy ending, and i really really hope that both Michael & Lincoln make it through.

The one character that appears expendable to me is Sarah, she really is irrtating

The show is going to air at 9/8c means it’ll be aired 9:00 clock Eastern time and 8:00 clock Central (US time zones)

Doesnt mean much to us in India as we’ll be getting it from the internet ..a little while after it gets telecast.

Tech Mahindra wins Satyam bid

So, Tech Mahindra has done it. It kept saying no-no all the time, and finally Tech Mahindra is the company that has bagged Satyam, the ill-fated Software Giant.

Whatever Raju did has worked out great for Tech M.

Tech Mahindra(formerly Mahindra British Telecom) the software arm of Mahindra & Mahindra Group, ranked 6th in the last NASSCOM rankings, has so far been focussed on the telecom sector only, and has been a pioneer there. Now it is foraying into the big sea with huge infrastructure of Satyam, with the experienced employees which were a strength of the company that made it big, big enough to shake world markets when it went down itself.

This is special for me as I am waiting for my joining with Tech Mahindra, since last September (which was postponed due to the recession and projects getting delayed). This event can change a lot for people like me. Nobody can actually say whether it is going to be good or bad. Now when Tech Mahindra gains control over Satyam it will have to take care of an emancipated beast that once roared the jungles of IT world, but once it gets better it will strengthen Tech M a lot. The number of engineering passouts of 2008 batch waiting for their joining in Satyam are huge in number, while the existing employees of Satyam seek some consolation in this acquisition by Tech M.

All I hope is that people like me get to join their dream jobs soon.
We have waited to long. I hope things turn out good for people at Satyam as well.

Gmail lets you insert images now

The long awaited feature of Gmail, inserting images in your mails is finally here

Now you don’t have to use the workarounds like

uploading images top an image host and inserting the HTML code into your mails
using a userscript to make Gmail let you insert images

Gmail has introduced this feature now in their Labs section.

Here’s how you can use it

Login to your gmail account (of course you need to do that)
Click on the Labs icon , as shown here
The labs icon is between email id and Settings link
Scroll down in the features list to the one that says Insert Images
Scroll down to Insert Images
Click on the enable radio button and Save your settings
Now whenyou compose a mail you havethe insert image icon on the toolbar
Compose Mail

Now you can add images to your mails without much effort

Do give your feedback to google about this feature so they make it a permanent feature

How to create a Favicon file?

Everyone wants that cute looking favicon in the location bar and tab bar of the browsers when somebody visits their site, which is in fact very simple then it appears to be.

I googled a bit and found tons of scripts and small softwares that can do it for you. Some provide you the old (and gold indeed) method to edit those blocks of .ico files.

The best one i found was the one at Favicon.cc

but it isnt that attractive and easy for people whoe are bad at drawing with the mouse, specially when it comes to putting squares over squares.

A number of sites let you upload an image of your choice and convert it to .ico file. This is good if you have a logo of your website with you.

The best one comes from none other than Dynamic Drive

As simple as it sounds. And flawless like other cool stuff from them.

The other one in this category is FaviconGenerator

similar to the one at DynamicDrive and self explanatory

But what i used to create the sample favicon you are seeing on the tab bar above right now, is the one i created using a very simple script from this site

with the strange name Antifavicon

I liked it more than the others because it reall is the simplest, you do not need to have a logo designed for you in advance or edit that ico file.

All you have to do is to enter the text you want and choose the color settings. And you’re done

There are a lots of other sites that provide you animated favicon generators and other flashy stuff.. but i guess that’s not what everyone wants..

as it is a tough job getting good wallpapers in that category.

The owner Mudassar is a very nice guy, and is working hard to get experts like me on the staff

Sid (Siddarth the Hacker) , is managing the design part right now,
